To be a teacher at Torrey Pines is to be a part of a family. A family of educators that want the very best for their students and with very hard work, collaboration and flexibility they give it their all each and every day. To be a teacher at Torrey Pines is to be proud.

To me it means that for 180 days out of the year, I get to do something I love and that makes me happy! TPES is a very special school because it's a place of learning and community, 17 years ago when I stepped on this campus as a parent and most days since, I have always felt the energy and good vibes. Being a teacher at TPES allows me to make a positive difference in people’s lives and that means a lot to me.

I have been at Torrey Pines Elementary for eight years and I can honestly say that I love my job and what I do. I think a lot of that has to do with the exceptional teachers, administration and staff that I am surrounded by and the close-knit community that offers endless support. I miss being with my students in the classroom and watching them grow and transform throughout the year. Teaching is not an easy job, as I have heard from many parents during quarantine 😉, however to me when you are at a school like Torrey Pines Elementary it is no longer a job. It is what I love to do.
