UTKCHOICE Priority Window for 2026-2027 School Year:
Monday, September 22 - Monday, November 3, 2025

  Non-resident enrollment CLICK HERE for UTK-5 CHOICE enrollment.
  • All resident children turning 4 by September 1st will be eligible for enrollment in Universal Transitional Kindergarten. 
  • While parents are welcome to apply for CHOICE to TK, we anticipate that seats will be limited.  Parents are urged to pre-enroll in the school of residence IN ADDITION to applying for CHOICE, for the best chance at an offer of enrollment in the preferred school(s).

    Steps to complete enrollment for Torrey Pines Elementary:

    Enrollment is online for new San Diego Unified neighborhood students.


    Step 1: Verify Torrey Pines Elementary is your neighborhood school:
    Visit SchoolFinder & enter your home address to verify your neighborhood school.  If you were accepted as CHOICE please start at Step 3. 

    Step 2: Torrey Pines is your neighborhood school: ENROLL ONLINE and continue to step 3.

    Not a neighborhood resident?  Please complete a CHOICE application CLICK HERE for UTK-5
    Accepted as CHOICE? ENROLL ONLINE

    *Please make sure to upload the following when enolling online (failure to do so may affect students enrollment):

    • Student Birth Certificate/Passport (please bring original for verification)
    • TWO forms of Address Verification (mortgage statement/lease agreement AND utility bill, recent within 45 days - SDG&E Verification letters are not accepted)
    • Proof of Up-to-Date Student Immunization Records: Visit for our district’s requirements.
    • Parent Identification
    • Student IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)
    • Health Information Form

      **If your student has attended another UTK - 5th school:

      Complete Request for Elementary School Records (US Schools only).

    Step 3: Please complete TPES enrollment forms:
    New Student Questionnaire

    Educational Needs Questionnaire (if your student has or is in the process for an IEP or 504 please let us know and provide a copy)

    Please review Family Resource Guide for important information.

     

    Health Records/Forms:

    Dental Exam- To be filled out by dentist, during their first year in school through April 30th of that school year.

     

    Step 4: Upload TPES enrollment forms to:

    TB Test/Risk Assessment from a licensed physician

    *Want to CHAPERONE a field trip? Must be cleared as a volunteer, live-scanned, & cleared with the district.

    Join the TPES Foundation

    The Torrey Pines Elementary School Foundation (TPES Foundation) is a non-profit organization that includes all parents/guardians of Torrey Pines Elementary School students. As a parent or guardian of a student at Torrey Pines, you are automatically a member of the Foundation. Our school's Foundation plays a key role in our students’ success and learning experiences at TPES. Its mission is to provide resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and create equitable opportunities for the children, staff, and families of TPES.
