21/22 New Student Enrollment

Welcome to Torrey Pines Elementary School! We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your children!

 Please visit our Calendar for upcoming Principal-Foundation Chats to learn more about our school. We also have a new TPES New Family Session scheduled once a month please look to our calendar for that as well.

Below are the steps to complete enrollment for Torrey Pines

*Enrollment is only for new incoming students not for currently enrolled families. If your student is currently enrolled at TPES there is nothing you need to do.*

Step 1: Verify Torrey Pines Elementary is your neighbor school (If you are Choice please start at Step 2). 

            Visit SchoolFinder: https://www.sandiegounified.org/schoolfinder. Enter your home address to verify your neighborhood school.

Step 2: After confirming Torrey Pines is your neighborhood school, please submit the following forms/information/documents: 

  1. Forms you will need to complete: 
  1. SDUSD 21-22 New Student Enrollment Online Or SDUSD PreK-12 Enrollment Form (If you complete the online form you can upload some student documents there) *The online form is only for students who have NEVER been enrolled in a SDUSD school.*
  2. Home Language Survey
  3. Educational Needs Questionnaire (if your student has or is in the process for an IEP or 504 please let us know and provide a copy)
  4. Universal Form
  5. New Student Questionnaire
  6. Health Records/Forms:
  1. You will also have to provide: 
  1. Copy of Student Birth Certificate/Passport
  2. Verification of residency (usually your lease agreement, but can be a utility bill recent within 45 days)
  3. Student IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)
  4. Parent Identification

Parents will need to email copies of these documents and digital forms to:

The subject should be: 21/22, your student's LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, incoming grade. The district firewall blocks emails over 10mb in size. If you need to, please send multiple emails - but note in the subject line 'email x of x' so we know to look for additional emails regarding your student's enrollment. *If you have multiple children enrolling we must receive emails for each student - NOT combined student emails*

 

If you are unable to complete the enrollment online for any reason please contact Mrs. Pallulat to set up an enrollment appointment. 

When coming to your enrollment appointment please bring:

  • Student’s immunization record
  • Birth certificate/passport
  • Verification of residency 
  • IEP/504 plan if applicable 

 

If you are not prepared, your appointment will be rescheduled for another day.

**In addition to the above documents, if your student is new to Torrey Pines in 1st - 5th please complete Request for Elementary School Records (US Schools only).
