We are very aware of the importance of your child's birthday. However, it is also important that the celebration of birthdays not disrupt or take away instructional time. If you wish to bring a special trinket or shareable items, please communicate with the teacher for permission prior to the celebration day. The items should be dropped off before school begins to the front office or to the teacher. The teacher will then decide when and how it will be organized. Each teacher has a different procedure regarding birthdays. It should be explained during Back to School Night. If you are not sure, please ask your child's teacher.
Food celebrations are not allowed according to the Wellness Policy adopted by the district office and approved by SGT at Torrey Pines.
